How we protect your information
The same practices protect every account and client file.
Our security practices
- 1
Two-step sign-in on every account
A password plus a second check, such as a code or a security key.
- 2
A digital password manager
Every account has its own strong, unique password in a password manager, never reused or shared by email.
- 3
Encrypted email and documents
Google Workspace encrypts our email and documents while they move and while they're stored, to help keep others from reading them.
- 4
Only the access we need
Only the team members who help you can open your file, and each sees just what the task needs.
- 5
Minimal client data
We keep only the information we need to help you, and we delete what we no longer need. We will never sell your information. We keep waitlist information until you become a client or ask us to remove it, and delete inactive signups after 24 months. Client information is kept while you are a client, plus 12 months, then securely deleted unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
- 6
Separate business accounts and devices
Our work happens only on business accounts and devices used for nothing else, each protected with two-step sign-in and a password manager.
- 7
We never hold or move your money
Only you, your bank or brokerage can move it.
If something goes wrong
We tell you quickly and plainly, and we follow public security standards.
If your information is exposed
We tell you promptly if we see any sign it was exposed. We explain what happened in plain language and what we are doing about it.
The standards we follow
We follow two public security checklists: Google's checklist for small businesses(opens in a new tab), and Cyber Essentials(opens in a new tab) from CISA, the U.S. government's cybersecurity agency.
This page is our own summary of our practices. It is not a certification, audit or third‑party approval.
